Day 4: Befriending

One of the most helpful teachings of meditation is the undeniable truth that you will inevitably have thoughts in meditation. If you are a human being, you are also a human who thinks.

Therefore, learning to meet your thoughts in a healthy and insightful way is pivotal when growing your practice.

In today’s meditation, you will be guided through a series of techniques on working with your thoughts in meditation. My suggestion is to notice which of the techniques works best for you and continue to work with that technique as needed through the rest of the week. It’s more than okay if more than one technique is helpful to you too. Know that you can call upon as many approaches to your thoughts as needed in meditation and over time, you will come to know which one to use in that moment.
